Monday Morning Motivation!
To get ourselves motivated for Monday, we have a great quote from Elton John that talks about respect. Many times we have experienced, and I’m sure other people have experienced, fellow singers and musicians acting better than others whether it be in person, in passing, behind backs or online. Life is tough and short enough as it is. Be respectful and encouraging, not rude. Be a good human being, colleague, or mentor. Too many students have passed through our doors upset and confused about why their directors don’t treat them well, or a friend got a solo or role and acted like they were better than everyone else. Why? In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter. There is something wonderful about being humble.
